David Landriscina
#6 on the ballot
Candidate for the Murrieta City Council November 7th 2006
Education: Bachelor of Science-California Baptist University, Riverside, CA.
My qualifications to serve you encompass what I
have done with my personal, professional and now political life, having lived here like so
many of you for over 14 years, raising a family-now grandparents, growing a successful
small business-home based-and what I am doing: presently a member of the
subcommittee to construct a Veteran’s Memorial in the yet to be built
Town Park at the
city’s new civic center. Member
of the
Measure
E Oversight Committee-the
recent school bond that Murrieta voters approved-that will ensure that
our tax dollars are spent according to the wishes of the voters.
My
references are the minutes of the monthly; council, committees and
commissions meetings received via email: davidlandriscina@comcast.net
(PH:257-4557)
and my attendance at the Town Hall meetings to keep track of all the
planned capital expenditures: road upkeep and improved traffic flow,
public health & safety , and high quality retail, commercial, and
civic center development (Golden
Triangle, Village Walk,
Orchard
Park,
Library, Historic Downtown-Historic Murrieta
Specific Plan)
in concert with our city’s general
plan document-edited
and agreed to by resident volunteers, consultants, city staff and made
legal by a vote of the city council.
Let’s look at these ideas more specifically:
Develop and implement a neighborhood traffic management program to expand
throughways, coordinate traffic lights for flow and road upkeep for safety.
Work with the Riverside Transit Authority for more transit access.
Voting for human, innovation & technology resources needed by our public safety
agencies to assist our Chief of Police, Mark Wright and our Fire Chief, Paul Christman.
Utilize the networks I’ve established with national and international entrepreneurs to
increase awareness of our city and possibly encourage investment that would result in
local job opportunities in conjunction with the city’s land development and fast tracking
initiatives to ease the transition of new businesses to the area.
Once the new library is built, push for K-12 student/teacher electronic research
capabilities with our director of library services: Loretta McKinney, to enhance their
educational/teaching experience and to satisfy the needs of parents to protect their
children from the internet.
I pledge to be accountable to the ideas expressed here and to serve with honor, strength,
integrity, with respect for the values of our growing community-the glue that binds us.
If you want your finger on the local pulse, then, vote for David
Landriscina. Read
