MURRIETA CITY COUNCIL
August 22nd, 2006

TOWN HALL SPECIAL MEETING

PURPOSE: Review Council Goals and Provide Input

at 6:40 p.m. Mayor Kelly Seyarto welcomed all attendees, and everyone introduced themselves. Council members present were: Gibbs, McAllister and Seyarto. Absent: Enochs and Ostling. City Manager Lori Moss provided an overview of the Council's goals and explained how the meeting would proceed. Department Managers and Directors from engineering, building & safety, planning, library, human resources, fire, police, administration & economic development, finance, city clerk, information services, and community services provided briefings on the responsibilities of their department.

Participants divided into groups to review specific departmental goals and objectives for the purpose of providing input. A spokesperson for each group presented their suggestions to the entire body. Deputy City Manager Chris Paxton solicited reflection on the process and the results. Council Members thanked everyone for their efforts, and the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
