Update: Wednesday 8:15 a.m.
The fire has burned 310 acres and is 10% contained. It is slowly moving in a north-west and north-east direction. 396 fire and support personnel are currently involved. Fire crews anticipate a wind change to push the fire in a south-west direction. The rugged terrain makes it difficult for ground crews, and helicopter and fixed wing aircraft continue to support the ground crews. The fire is about 6 miles north of Claremont and still poses no threat.
Because of the fire in Mt. Baldy, the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park will be closed until further notice. For more information please contact Communtiy Services at (909) 399-5431.
