Original press release, 9/18/08: On Thursday September 18, 2008, about 1948 hours, deputies from the Jurupa Valley station responded to the 2200 block of Frontage Rd., Corona, reference an armed robbery at the Del Taco restaurant.
A Hispanic male adult entered the Del Taco restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. The suspect simulated a firearm as he kept his hands in his pants pockets. The suspect left the location with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen on foot westbound on Frontage Rd. There was no vehicle seen or heard.
The suspect was described as Hispanic male adult approximately 6′00″, 180 lbs with dark slicked back hair and facial hair. He was wearing a faded dark blue pull over hooded sweatshirt and black shorts, he was also wearing sunglasses.
This investigation is continuing and the Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with information regarding this incident or anyone that may have witnessed the incident to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Jurupa Valley Station Detective Bureau at (951) 955-2600.
