Coroner case # 700901524– On 3/5/2009 at 5:48 AM, Gregory Willis, a 46 year old resident of Hemet, California was walking in a crosswalk approaching his place of employment, a trucking company located in the 18000 block of Slover Ave. in Bloomington. A driver started up his big rig tractor, made a right turn and struck Willis. Willis was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Emergency Department with severe injuries and pronounced dead at 6:49 AM. The California Highway Patrol and CAL-OSHA are investigating the incident. [030509 1321 SY]

Coroner case 700901521–On March 5th, 2009 at 1:44 AM, Carl Marvin Raymondo a 46 year old resident of Fontana, was driving a 1993 Ford Thunderbird northbound Interstate 215, south of Highland Avenue in the city of San Bernardino veered off the roadway and struck a palm tree. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and San Bernardino City Fire Department responded to scene of the accident. Raymondo was pronounced dead at the scene. CHP is investigating the accident. Coroner case #700901485–On March 3, 2009 at about 6:55 PM, Deputies from the Victorville Sheriff’s Station responded to a reported shooting in the parking lot of a business in the 13700 block of Bear Valley Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 41 year old male resident of Hesperia down near a vehicle with multiple gunshot injuries. Emergency medical personnel arrived to the scene and the victim was transported to Desert Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The identification of the decedent is being withheld until the next of kin is notified. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Detail is investigating the incident. Coroner case #700901470—On 3/3/09 at 8:15 AM, Aaron Strickland, a 37 year inmate at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga was found deceased in his housing unit. An autopsy will be conducted by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner to determine the exact cause of death. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Homicide Division is investigating. [030309 1515 SY]

Coroner case # 700901457 – On March 2, 2009, at 9:23 p.m. a red pickup truck traveling northbound in the number two lane of Interstate 15 at the First Street overcrossing, near Yermo struck the rear of a tractor/trailer. A male passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The name is being withheld until the positive identification and notification of the next of kin is completed. Coroner case # 700901431—On March 1, 2009, San Bernardino Police Officers responded to a disturbance at Seccombe Park in San Bernardino. Terry Wayne Nash, a 21 year old resident of San Bernardino was taken into custody and became unresponsive. He was transported to St. Bernardine Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 2:22 PM. Coroner case #700901420 — On 2-28-09, at 6:28 PM, 33 year-old Apple Valley, resident Audran Robinson, was traveling northbound on Dale Evans Parkway when he lost control of his BMW motorcycle. Robinson struck the center divider at a high rate of speed and was ejected. Apple Valley Fire District arrived and pronounced Robinson dead on scene at 6:30 PM. Coroner Case #700901400 — On 02/27/2009 at approximately 10:29 PM, Tracy Ware, a 40 year-old male Barstow resident, was struck by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train that was traveling westbound on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe main line #1 at mile marker 744.6. This location is near 1600 Riverside Drive in Barstow. Barstow Fire District Paramedics arrived on scene and confirmed Ware dead from his injuries at 10:48 PM. Barstow Police Department and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Police are investigating this incident. The investigation is being handled as an accidental death. [022809 0600 TC]

Coroner case #700901395 — On 2-27-09, at 5:16 PM, 47 year-old Victorville, resident Michael Mattera, was traveling northbound on Mesa Linda Ave on an all terain vehicle. Mattera was struck by a 1997 Toyota Avalon traveling westbound on Dos Palmas Road in Victorville. San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived and pronounced Mattera dead on scene at 5:28 PM. Coroner case #700901375 — On 2-26-09, at 4:23 PM, 53 year-old British Columbia, CANADA resident William Wust, was traveling northbound on Highway 127 in the Dumont Dunes area on a 2006 Suzuki Boulevard 650. For an unknown reason he left the roadway and was ejected. A passerby noticed the motorcycle in the brush and called 911. San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived and pronounced Wust dead.
