By Inland Empire • Jun 4th, 2009 • Category: FeaturesBeginning June 2009 the command staff of the Sheriff Stations located in Adelanto, Apple Valley, Barstow, Hesperia, Victorville, and Victor Valley have scheduled a series of proactive law enforcement actions in the High Desert Region during the summer of 2009.
In a cooperative effort, personnel from each station will assemble in pre-assigned areas within the High Desert at pre-determined times to conduct gang enforcement operations, serve search warrants & arrest warrants, perform narcotics/sex registrant compliance checks, and provide enhanced patrol staffing.
These operations will be accomplished by pooling area law enforcement resources and concentrating them on critical issues within the High Desert Community, and will be conducted using a minimum of overtime.
“This is another example of the cooperation of the high desert communities to ensure the safety of the citizens,” said Sheriff Rod Hoops.
