By Inland Empire • Jul 2nd, 2009 • Category: NewsOn Saturday May 30, 2009, Deputy Carrasco investigated a burglary from a residence in Anza. Numerous items were taken including farm equipment, appliances, and a vehicle. Utilizing the Problem Oriented and Zone Policing philosophy, Deputy Carrasco spoke to residents of Anza for the past month developing leads on the stolen merchandise and possibly identified a suspect. A search warrant for a property in the 53000 Block of Cooper Cienega Truck Trail was obtained.
Hemet deputies with assistance from the Hemet and San Jacinto Problem Oriented Policing teams, The Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, and the Riverside Auto-Theft Interdiction Detail served the warrant.
Three stolen vehicles, two stolen engines, a wood chipper, and additional miscellaneous stolen property were recovered totaling approximately $50,000.00. Deputies also recovered marijuana plants growing hidden in the foliage behind a residence on the property.
Deputies also recovered methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and two firearms inside residences on the property.
Noel Moore, 53 years, of Anza was arrested and booked for 290(a) PC – Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, 11377(a) H&S – Possession of Methamphetamine, 1203.2(a) PC – Violation of Probation, and an outstanding felony warrant.
Donald Kitchen, 52 years, of Anza was arrested for 496 PC – Possession of Stolen Property, 12021 PC – Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 12316(b) PC – Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition, and 11358 H&S – Cultivation of Marijuana.
