San Jacinto Police Department will be stepping up enforcement of all calls relating to fireworks and discharging firearms in the city. All fireworks, including “safe and sane” fireworks sold in other cities, are illegal to possess or ignite.

The Department will deploy extra officers over the holiday weekend to aggressively enforce fireworks and discharging firearm violations, with a “zero tolerance” policy. Those caught with fireworks will be subject to fines, citation or arrest.

The San Jacinto Police Department, in conjunction with Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and CAL FIRE want to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.
