On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, deputies from the Norco office, assisted by members from the Riverside County Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (S.A.F.E.) taskforce, Riverside County Probation Department and State Parole conducted a Parole / Probation compliance sweep in the City of Norco.

During this operation compliance checks were conducted at 37 residences, which resulted in 6 felony and 3 misdemeanor arrests. These arrests included outstanding arrest warrants, possession of illegal narcotics, probation and parole violations and registered sex offender violations. Arrested were:

Jeremy Staples (31) – Violation of parole (registered sex offender)
Nelson Tovar (40) – Violation of parole (registered sex offender)
Elizabeth Richardson (44) – Violation of probation
James Richardson (44) – Violation of parole
Misty Wortz (35) – Outstanding arrest warrant for possession of narcotics
Fred Fleck (44) – Violation of probation and possession of narcotics
James Ollenton (40) – Possession of narcotics
Maria Maher (40) – Possession of narcotics and paraphernalia
Richard Knight (42) – Obstructing a peace officer during the performance of their duty

Six of the subjects were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center and 3 subjects were issued citations and released at the scene.
