By Inland Empire • Aug 19th, 2009 • Category: FeaturesOn Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 7:06 a.m., Moreno Valley Police Officers responded to Box Springs Elementary School, 11900 Athens Drive, reference a robbery that occurred within the school’s administrative office.
Upon arrival, officers found that a black male adult entered the teacher’s lounge and approached 3 teachers that were inside the lounge. The suspect was described as approximately 20 years old, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, wearing a baggy green shirt and black or dark blue slacks. The suspect brandished a small handgun and demanded their purses. The teachers complied with the demand. The suspect took the property and left the lounge fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.
There were no students on the campus at the time of the robbery.
We are asking the citizens of Moreno Valley to assist in this ongoing investigation. Please do not attempt to contact the subject. If seen, please call 911 immediately.
