On Saturday, October 31, 2009, at approximately 11:50 P.M. deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Palm Desert Station, responded to the 17200 block of Sanborn in the unincorporated area of North Palm Springs reference a report of a Hispanic male juvenile shot at the location.

Upon arrival deputies located a Hispanic male juvenile with multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies learned there was a large party at the location. The victim got into a confrontation with several suspects. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and shot the victim. The suspects were last seen running away from the location.

The suspects were described as Hispanic males wearing dark clothing. The victim was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center. The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Palm Desert Station is asking that anyone with information regarding this incident contact the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station at (760) 836-1600. Information may also be reported anonymously through Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-STOP.”
