Adelanto – Assault With A Deadly Weapon

On Monday, November 2, 2009 at approximately 10:05 pm deputies received a call to a residence in the 10700 block of Almond Street in the city of Adelanto.

The caller reported that his roommate had chased him and threatened to stab him with a knife during an argument at the residence. Deputy Dave Alexander responded to the residence and contacted the victim who was waiting outside. Deputy Alexander’s investigation led to the arrest of Elio Merida, DOB 4/11/1983, of Adelanto for assault with a deadly weapon. The victim did not receive any serious injuries and no medical attention was required.

Merida was arrested and booked at the Victor Valley Jail. Merida is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
