Menifee – Fatal Traffic Collision

On November 22, 2009, at about 08:50 am, officers from the Menifee Police Department were dispatched to Scott Road and the 215 Freeway in the City of Menifee reference a fatal traffic collision call.

Deputies arrived within minutes and located the traffic collision at Scott Road east of the 215 northbound on ramp. The Sheriff’s Station Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation.

The preliminary investigation revealed a Toyota was traveling northbound on the 215 Freeway, and had exited the Scott Road Freeway off ramp. The vehicle drove through the intersection and struck the north curb of Scott Road, causing the vehicle to careen down the embankment, where it came to rest in the open field.

The driver was transported to Menifee Valley Hospital where she was pronounced deceased as a result of the traffic collision. The driver was identified as Judith Septimus, 76 years, of Palm Springs.

There were no other vehicles involved in the collision.
