Rancho Mirage – Armed Robbery at Motel 6

On November 20th, 2009 at 9:45 PM officers from Rancho Mirage Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Motel 6 located at the 69500 block of Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage.

Upon arrival officers determined a Hispanic male suspect entered the motel office and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. An undetermined amount of currency was stolen. The suspect left the business on foot in an unknown direction. The clerk was not injured during the incident. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’7”, average build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, and dark baggie pants. The investigation is ongoing.

The Rancho Mirage Police Department is asking that anyone with information regarding this incident contact the Rancho Mirage Police Station at (760) 836-1600. Information may also be reported anonymously through Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-STOP.
