Apple Valley – Death Investigation / Skeletal Human Remains Found

SUMMARY: On Sunday, January 31, 2010 at approximately 4:38 p.m., a person riding off road with his dog in the area of Johnson Road, east of Central in the County area of Apple Valley discovered what he believed to be human skeletal remains. Deputies from the Apple Valley and Victor Valley Stations responded to the area and confirmed the remains to be that of a human.

Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Detail were notified of the discovery and responded to the location. The remains were removed on Monday, February 1, 2010.

Examinations will be conducted to determine the identity of the victim and the cause of death. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Ryan Ford or Sergeant Frank Montanez of the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department Homicide Detail at 909-387-3589.
