By Inland Empire • Feb 4th, 2010 • Category: FeaturesSUMMARY: On Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at approximately 2:20 p.m., deputies from the Central Station were notified of suspicious circumstances in the 24000 block of Monterey in San Bernardino. San Bernardino City School Police were in the area when they were flagged down by neighbors who advised them that a disturbance had occurred at a nearby residence. Officers entered the home and found a deceased female.
Officers were also advised that a male subject, believed to be the boyfriend of the deceased, had gotten onto a city transit bus. Officers made a traffic stop on the bus in the area of 4th and Waterman. The suspect was located on the bus, along with a one year old male child, and he was taken into custody without incident. The child is believed to be the biological child of the victim and the suspect. The child was not injured during the incident.
Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Detail were notified and have responded to the incident location.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
